In Memory
It has been 7 weeks since my Father-in-law passed away from cancer.
He was 61.
He fought cancer for 2 1/2 years and was healed in glory on July 25, 2012. He wanted to live to preach the gospel and to see his grandchildren grow. They brought him so much happiness.
Even writing these words "passed away" is still strange. I feel like he is on a military deployment (he served 37 years in the military). Only because of the hope of heaven will we see him again.
So many emotions and changes have happened this summer and to be honest, this summer was definitely one of the most trying times emotionally, physically, mentally, and at some times spiritually. Seeing my husband lose his father and the emotions and repercussions that go with it has been one of the hardest times for me personally. In the midst of all the pain, loss, and suffering, we turned to the Lord, our God, our Hope, our Strength, the only True God, the One who we have put our trust in.
